All good things come with a story. This bag was named for the owner Elizabeth’s mother, Mary Ben Seeger. Mary Ben was a stewardess for TWA back in the 1960’s, when they were actually called that! She was based in San Francisco, where she met and married the love of her life Al, a TWA pilot, They moved to Louisiana to raise a family. Whenever Al would fly back to San Francisco, Mary Ben would send him with an extra tote bag so that he could bring her home sourdough bread.
This unlined tote folds up super flat and is great to pack when traveling so you can carry home all the treasures you find on your adventures! It’s also one of our best selling everyday bags. Fold the sides in for a slouchier look, or pull the sides out wide to be more tote-like to hold more stuff! Opens wide so you can see the kitchen sink at the bottom.
